White Hall

 A great few days for our adventurous Year 5s. We had a go at canoeing, mountain biking, a night hike and everyone was brave enough to have a go at the zip wire. The highlight was the rock scrambling; we squeezed our way through narrow passages and clambered over the rocks to the top, where we needed all our nerves to have a look over the edge. We made new friends with other children at the centre, and joined them in the evening for a game of 'chemical dash'. Our children showed a great team spirit, and they were all proud of themselves for having a go and conquering their fears.

White Hall

 

 The  Centre is located three miles outside of the Spa town of Buxton, close to the picturesque Goyt Valley and is designed to provide children with a taste of a wide variety of adventure activities in the hope of arousing new interests, as well as introducing them to open country pursuits. It encourages youngsters to become more independent and self-reliant, as well as working co-operatively and safely within a group.

 

There will be an exciting itinerary including activities such as:


  • Climbing/Abseiling
  • Canoeing
  • Cycling
  • Zip Wires/Adventure Play
  • Orienteering
  • Stream Scrambling
  • Problem Solving Exercises (such as shelter building)
